Calculate your standard weight by entering your gender and height.
Standard weight calculation methods are mainly based on past population statistics or health data.
- Brod and Sinta's method:This method has been widely known for a long time and is used to provide simple approximations. It simplifies the relationship between height and weight, but many factors such as body shape, muscle mass, and bone density actually affect weight.
- Miller's methodThis method, presented in 1983, is based on previous research. Miller's method more accurately reflects weight gain with changes in height. In particular, it considers the weight gain rate for heights over 5 feet (about 152.4cm).
- Robinson's method:This method, presented together in 1983, was developed around the same time as Miller's method. This method is also based on an attempt to more precisely reflect the relationship between height and weight.
Standard weight calculation methods are all approximate values and may not accurately reflect an individual's health status or body shape. Therefore, it is better to use the values provided as a reference rather than as absolute values.
